Choose taper first

Match both taper and ISO tip size

For constant-taper systems, the cone should match the final preparation in two dimensions: taper and ISO tip size.

Assortments: Dia-ProISO is available in #15–40 and #45–80 assortments. Dia-ISOGT (non-marked) also has #90–140 assortment options in DiaDent’s current catalogue. CanDent may stock only part of the manufacturer range.
Choose format

Same taper logic, different depth reference

Choose the marked or non-marked format according to the preferred depth-reference style; both use the same .04/.06 taper and ISO-size matching principle.

mm-marked

Dia-ProISO

Visual depth marks
  • Millimeter markings provide a visual depth reference during cone selection and trial fitting.
  • Uniform .04 or .06 taper is selected to match the final constant-taper preparation.
  • Choose the exact ISO tip size after selecting the taper.
non-marked

Dia-ISOGT

Standard unmarked point
  • Uses the same constant-taper matching concept without millimeter markings.
  • Available in .04 and .06 taper families.
  • Choose by final taper and ISO size, then confirm fit clinically.
System matching

Constant-taper rotary families

Dia-ProISO / Dia-ISOGT is designed for .04 and .06 constant-taper preparations. DiaDent lists EdgeFile® X7 and Vortex® / Vortex Blue™ among its matching file systems; CanDent pairs the same GP family with NIC® MH and NIC® KD Blue.

Matching file systems

.04 / .06 constant-taper preparation

Match the gutta-percha to the final preparation by both taper and ISO tip size. The systems below include DiaDent-listed file families plus CanDent’s NIC pairings.

Constant Tapered .04/.06 Rotary Files
ProFile® ISO Rotary Files
EndoSequence® Files
K3® Files
EdgeSequel™ Sapphire / Utopia
EdgeFile® X7
NIC® MH Rotary Files CanDent pairing · direct EdgeFile® X7 alternative · .04/.06 constant taper
Vortex® / Vortex Blue™
NIC® KD Blue Rotary Files CanDent pairing · direct Vortex Blue® alternative · .04/.06 constant taper
VaryFlex® / ZenFlex™ families
CanDent NIC pairing guide: For NIC® KD Blue, select the Dia-ProISO / Dia-ISOGT point that matches the final .04 or .06 taper and ISO tip size. For NIC® MH, use the same final taper-and-size matching rule. MH includes ISO 17, but DiaDent’s Dia-ProISO / Dia-ISOGT range does not provide a #17 point, so an exact one-to-one cone is not available for a final ISO 17 preparation. DiaDent does not list NIC® MH or NIC® KD Blue by name; these NIC pairings are CanDent selection guidance based on their corresponding constant-taper file families.
Clinical use

A four-step master-cone workflow

Select the cone only after the final canal size and taper have been established, then confirm master-cone fit clinically before obturation.

Selection & use

Master-cone workflow

4 steps
1Confirm the final canal preparation⌄
Identify the final shaping size/taper and confirm the planned working length before choosing the master cone.
  • Match both the final taper (.04 or .06) and the final ISO tip size.
  • Example: a final NIC® KD Blue 35/.04 preparation pairs with a #35/.04 point; a final NIC® MH 40/.06 preparation pairs with a #40/.06 point.
  • Do not select the cone from colour or product name alone; verify the actual preparation.
2Select and trial-fit the matching point⌄
Place the selected point to the planned working length and assess fit without forcing it apically.
  • Use millimeter markings, where present, as a visual depth reference.
  • Adjust or replace the cone if the fit is not clinically acceptable.
3Confirm fit before sealer placement⌄
Confirm the master-cone position and apical control using the clinician’s established protocol, including radiographic confirmation when indicated.
4Complete obturation⌄
Complete final canal drying, apply the selected sealer according to its IFU, insert the master cone and complete the chosen obturation technique.
  • Use each gutta-percha point for a single clinical procedure only.
  • Follow the IFUs for the sealer and any obturation device used.
Important safety information

Handling, use & storage

Read before use
  • For dental professional use only. Use rubber-dam isolation and follow the current DiaDent instructions for use.
  • These gutta-percha points are supplied non-sterile and are intended for single use. Do not reuse.
  • Check the expiry date and inspect each point before use. Do not use a point that is contaminated, excessively hard, damaged, or otherwise unsuitable.
  • Select a master cone that fits the prepared canal and planned working length. Do not force the point beyond the prepared apical limit.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and confirm the canal has been appropriately cleaned, disinfected and dried before obturation.
  • Use radiographic confirmation as clinically indicated and as directed by the manufacturer’s IFU.
  • Store at room temperature, keep dry and away from direct heat or combustible materials, and keep sizes/types organized to prevent mix-ups.
  • Dispose of used points as clinical waste according to local requirements.
This website summary is not a substitute for the manufacturer’s instructions for use. The package label and current DiaDent IFU control where any discrepancy exists.
