DiaDent®Dia-ProT Gutta Percha
Millimeter-marked F1–F5 gutta-percha points designed to complement ProTaper® and ProTaper® GOLD finishing preparations. CanDent carries Dia-ProT as the matching gutta-percha family for NIC® U+ Rotary Files, whose F1–F5 finishing files use the corresponding nominal tip sizes and tapers.
Direct F1–F5 finishing-file pairing
For NIC® U+, select the Dia-ProT point that corresponds to the final U+ finishing file, then confirm master-cone fit and apical control clinically before sealer placement.
F1
Matches NIC® U+ F1 20/.07 final preparations.
F2
Matches NIC® U+ F2 25/.08 final preparations.
F3
Matches NIC® U+ F3 30/.09 final preparations.
F4
Matches NIC® U+ F4 40/.06 final preparations.
F5
Matches NIC® U+ F5 50/.05 final preparations.
ProTaper Gold-family finishing preparations
DiaDent lists Dia-ProT Gutta Percha as complementary to ProTaper® and ProTaper® GOLD. CanDent pairs the same F1–F5 GP family directly with NIC® U+, its corresponding ProTaper Gold-style rotary system.
F1 · F2 · F3 · F4 · F5
Dia-ProT follows the familiar ProTaper finishing designations. NIC® U+ uses the corresponding F1–F5 nominal tip sizes and tapers, allowing the same final-finishing-file selection logic.
Master-cone selection and fit
Select the cone after the final U+ finishing file has established the intended preparation, then trial-fit and confirm apical control before sealer placement and obturation.
Master-cone workflow
1Confirm the final canal preparation⌄
- For NIC® U+, use the same final designation: F1, F2, F3, F4 or F5.
- U+ F1 20/.07 → F1; F2 25/.08 → F2; F3 30/.09 → F3; F4 40/.06 → F4; F5 50/.05 → F5.
- Do not rely on colour or product name alone; verify the actual canal preparation and clinical fit.
2Select and trial-fit the matching point⌄
- Use millimeter markings, where present, as a visual depth reference.
- Adjust or replace the cone if the fit is not clinically acceptable.
3Confirm fit before sealer placement⌄
4Complete obturation⌄
- Use each gutta-percha point for a single clinical procedure only.
- Follow the IFUs for the sealer and any obturation device used.
Handling, use & storage
- For dental professional use only. Use rubber-dam isolation and follow the current DiaDent instructions for use.
- These gutta-percha points are supplied non-sterile and are intended for single use. Do not reuse.
- Check the expiry date and inspect each point before use. Do not use a point that is contaminated, excessively hard, damaged, or otherwise unsuitable.
- Select a master cone that fits the prepared canal and planned working length. Do not force the point beyond the prepared apical limit.
- Maintain aseptic technique and confirm the canal has been appropriately cleaned, disinfected and dried before obturation.
- Use radiographic confirmation as clinically indicated and as directed by the manufacturer’s IFU.
- Store at room temperature, keep dry and away from direct heat or combustible materials, and keep sizes/types organized to prevent mix-ups.
- Dispose of used points as clinical waste according to local requirements.
