Your settings, ready to recall

A compact system with practical adjustment ranges

120–1000 rpm: Select the speed appropriate to the operating mode and file system.
0.5–4.0 N·cm: Adjust the torque setting within the range supported by the selected mode and speed.
Ten shaping memories: M1–M10 store working configurations; M0 is the separate apex-locator mode.
Charging base: Return the handpiece to its charging base between uses as directed in the manual.

Working-length feedback: electronic indicators show file position and require clinical interpretation. Use the apex locator with the specified measuring accessories and confirm working length in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

E-Connect S FAQ

Does E-Connect S have a built-in apex locator?

Yes. E-Connect S combines an endodontic motor and an integrated electronic apex locator in the handpiece. It supports apex-location feedback during motor operation and a separate stand-alone apex-locator mode.

Do I need a separate E-PEX apex locator?

E-Connect S has its own built-in apex locator, so an external E-PEX unit is not required for this function. The specified measuring wire and lip hook are still needed.

Can I use it only as an apex locator?

Yes. M0 is the stand-alone electronic apex-locator mode. Connect the specified measuring wire, lip hook and file clip according to the manual.

Is the apex measurement completely wireless?

The motor handpiece is cordless, but apex measurement uses the measuring wire and lip hook. Stand-alone measurement also uses the file clip.

Which movements does the motor support?

The motor supports FWD, REV, REC and ATC. Choose the movement and parameters specified by the file manufacturer; a file’s physical fit does not by itself establish that every motor setting is appropriate.

What does Adaptive Torque Control do?

ATC changes from forward rotation to reciprocating motion when the preset torque threshold is reached, then resumes forward rotation when the load decreases.

Does the built-in apex locator replace radiographs?

Electronic apex-location feedback supports working-length assessment. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the clinician’s required confirmation procedures, including radiographic checks where appropriate.

Can it be used by left-handed operators?

Yes. The display orientation can be changed for left- or right-handed use, and the contra-angle orientation can be adjusted.
