Practical settings and adjustment

  • 0.5–4.0 N·cm: Torque options depend on mode and selected speed.

Do I need to enter speed and torque manually for every file system?
For a supported built-in preset, no. Selecting a preset automatically loads its operating mode, speed and torque, so you do not need to enter each value separately. Confirm the settings for the exact file and follow its instructions before use.
Which file systems have preset options?
Preset options include NIC, ProTaper, WaveOne Gold, Reciproc Blue and other supported systems. The manual also shows ProTaper SX/S1, ProTaper S2, One Shape, One Flare and One Curve as preset examples.
Can preset programs replace or save memory settings?
E-xtreme has 10 modes, M0–M9. The manual says preset programs can replace M1–M9; M0 is the separate reciprocating mode.
Which movements does the motor support?
E-xtreme supports FWD and REV continuous rotation and REC reciprocation. Choose the movement and parameters recommended by the manufacturer of the specific file system.
What reciprocating angles are available?
M0 provides five fixed forward/reverse angle combinations: 30°/150°, 150°/30°, 180°/30°, 210°/30° and 250°/30°. The manual says these M0 angle values cannot be changed.
Does E-xtreme include a built-in apex locator?
No. E-xtreme is an endodontic motor without a built-in apex locator. Use a separate apex locator when electronic working-length measurement is required.
Can I use the motor while it is charging?
No. The manual says not to use the equipment for treatment during charging. Use the original power adapter.
Which files fit the contra-angle?
The manual specifies 2.35 mm ISO 1797:2017 Type 1 root canal files with lengths from 11 to 31 mm. Confirm compatibility and settings with the file manufacturer’s instructions.
